Correlations between phenotypes and physical haplogroups?
I have recently been classified (by several people on a blog forum anthropology) out of the picture of portrait and other statistics (height, cephalic index, eye color, hair) as belonging to the Nordic countries / Anthropology Trond subtype. This subtype is found mainly in Norway. Interestingly, I had completed a study of DNA and the Y chromosome found that belonged to haplogroup-I, which is commonly in the Northwest Balkans (Croatia, Bosnia) and the Scandinavian countries (Norway and Sweden). Is there a link between the physical phenotype and haplotypes in a broad sense (my ancestors are Bosnian Croats), or is my simple genetic-phenotypic correlation coincidence Yes, I know that there are different subtypes haplogroup and haplotype which is different from northern Dinaric one, so I said "more or less."
I haplogroup Nordic and Balkan countries, I haplogroup are not the same. They are very similar. I2 is mainly among the Slavs of the Balkans, and the Sardinians. In the Balkans are among the Serbs, Croats and Bosnians on 40-70% as people. Slovenes around 30%. I1 is in the Nordic countries. There may be a correlation, since the two populations are larger in height.
